The breeze was so nice today that I really wanted to forgo my morning walk. When my walking partner didn't turn up, I rather willingly dumped the idea of the walk, changed out of my shoes and sat down in my balcony with a hot cup of tea to enjoy the lovely breeze with the newspaper.

Arranged Love is a light read, racy novel by Parul A. Mittal, a best-selling author, published by Penguin Metro Reads.

This teaser video is a peak into the key question that the book raises: Who Do you Marry? More importantly, who chooses it for you - you or your parents?

You can buy the book from Flipkart

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Just like last time's book read, I had a very interesting and engaging book read and contest for ARRANGED LOVE at HSC office.

Here are a couple of small youtube videos from the session.
Ekta, a young Hughes Systique employee, describes Arranged Love as "The Dirty Picture". She says its entertainment, entertainment, and entertainment.

I never thought I would write a book, leave aside a second one. But then they say, "ek baar chaska lag jaye to ..."

I was enjoying the responses and praise mails from Heartbreaks and Dreams - readers and fans. For last 2 years, almost every week I would get a mail asking what happened to Tanu after she left IIT? Whom did she marry? Is Champ your husband? (BTW, once in a while I do get a hate mail too :) The book has sold over 20000 copies in last 2 years - a good enough number for a first time author.

It is the majors time at IIT-Delhi and so everyone is very busy ... (In case you haven't read my book, majors are final semster exams). Yet I thought I would put up my book's posters in the hostels so that students can read the book during summer vaccation.

Lot of my friends ask me how did I get down to writing a fiction novel. Me of all people, who was never on the school's editorial board (well, except a semster when I was the Hindi Samiti rep at IIT-D - more by lack of choice than by choice). It surprises me as much as it surprises others . Yet as with many first-time authors, the true answer is "It just happened". However, there is a bit of story, a bit of inspiration, and a lot of circumstance behind it. Here it goes ...

Parul Mittal (maiden name Parul Agarwal) is the author of a national bestseller novel “Heartbreaks & Dreams! – The Girls @ IIT”. Her second book “Arranged Love” captured the hearts of Indian youth. Let's Have Coffee is her third novel and promises to be a humorous and fun light read.
